SMS Consent Disclosure

This page documents how StonePoint Warranty obtains consent from customers to receive transactional SMS messages related to their vehicle service contract.

How Consent Is Obtained

StonePoint Warranty obtains verbal SMS consent on every recorded sales call. The following script is read verbatim by the sales agent before any payment is processed:

“Before we finalize your enrollment, I want to let you know that by purchasing your vehicle service contract today, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from StonePoint Warranty. These messages will include your contract confirmation, digital document delivery notification, coverage activation notice, and payment reminders from Walco Funding. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.”

Consent Confirmation

The customer provides a clear verbal “yes” before any payment is processed. The agent does not proceed until explicit verbal consent is confirmed on the recording.

Recording Retention

All calls are recorded in full and retained for a minimum of 48 months for quality assurance and compliance purposes. Recordings are available for audit upon request.

Who Receives SMS Messages

SMS messages are sent exclusively to customers who have completed a vehicle service contract purchase. No SMS messages are sent to prospects, leads, or individuals who have not transacted with StonePoint Warranty.

Types of Messages Sent

  • Contract purchase confirmation
  • Digital contract delivery notification
  • Coverage activation notice
  • Payment reminders from Walco Funding

Opt-Out Instructions

Customers may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message received. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase.
